Join the New Orleans Museum of Art and The New Orleans Film Society as we present music, art making, a tour, and an outdoor screening of Disney’s The Princess and the Frog (Rated G) on September 7th in the Sydney and Walda Besthoff Sculpture Garden at NOMA.

NOMA is screening this film in honor of Chef Leah Chase, who was the inspiration for Princess Tiana, and the focus of the exhibition, Leah Chase: Paintings by Gustave Blache III, on view until Sunday, September 9th.

When: Friday, September 7th. Programming begins at 5pm. Screening begins at sundown (approximately 8pm).

Where: NOMA’s Sydney & Walda Besthoff Sculpture Garden

Admission: $6 for adults : Children (17 & under, must be accompanied by an adult), free : $3 for NOMA/NOFS/ Members (Members are allotted 4 tickets at the discounted rate.) Guests who purchase admission to the Museum will also have access to the Sculpture Garden and activities. Advance tickets (Sculpture Garden only) can be purchased through Eventbrite.

No refunds or exchanges.

Due to the sculptures and the architecture, no outside food or beverages will be permitted. Multiple food vendors will be available for refreshments.

Please bring a blanket or folding chair for seating.

The Princess and the Frog will be subtitled for the hearing impaired.

Schedule for the Night:

5pm to 8pm: Food by Crepes a la Cart, Green To Go NOLA (fresh salads – quantities limited), & Woody’s Fish Tacos
5:30pm to 7:30pm: Music by John Doheny
5pm to 7pm: Art Making Activity

Come dressed as your favorite character from The Princess and the Frog and receive a free NOMA poster!
Rain Date Info: The scheduled rain date for this screening is Tuesday, September 11th. If weather becomes a factor, guests who purchased tickets through Eventbrite will receive an email on the afternoon on September 7th. Other notifications will be on NOMA’s Web site, Facebook, and Twitter. Guests can receive a refund if they cannot attend the rain date. All refund requests must be received by 5pm on September 14th. After that date, tickets will be honored at the Admissions Desk for Museum entry.

NOMA Members can call 658.4127 to obtain a new card, retrieve their Member #, or renew their membership.
